Tying in with ANZAC Day celebrations and remembrance, ‘Garden to Table’ has created multiple learning resources and activities for primary school-age children to discover how vegetables influenced New Zealand’s war effort and why.
‘Dig For Victory’ launched on April 17 2020, and includes photos, historical documents, and a recipe for ‘See in the Dark ANZAC Biscuits’. This section is entirely downloadable for parents to use as a learning resource for teaching at home.
In order to access the full website of ‘Garden to Table’ resources, there is a lowered charge of $49 for a six-month membership. This includes access to the full ‘Garden to Table’ curriculum, garden and kitchen activities.
However, a free, special tab has been created for those who do not want to pay for a full subscription to the site. Under the ‘COVID-19’ tab, there are gardening, cooking and educational resources available to all under the lockdown period.
