Job Detail

Job Description

EduKids Papatoetoe is proud to have educators from varied cultural backgrounds to reflect those of our tamariki and community. This diversity provides endless opportunities to introduce our tamariki to the beauty of the wider world.

Our large 200 licence centre boasts multiple rooms with a great community feel. Our amazing outdoor areas and limitless resources are always available to our tamariki and allows them to lead us in their learning. We are looking for vibrant and inspiring ECE qualified and registered teachers to join our team in both our Infants and Toddlers, and Over Twos rooms.

We promote a highly interactive learning environment with both teachers and parents through initiatives such as shared reading and writing, creating flower and vegetable gardens, and hands-on cooking sessions. We work closely with our community and families and provide support when needed, such as attending the local primary school for transition visits with our tamariki, and accompanying parents on these visits when needed.

Cultural awareness and acceptance is a big part of who we are and we enjoy a diverse range of events including Maori, Chinese, Pacifika, Indian and European celebrations amongst others!

Our centre is split into multiple rooms with individual outdoor areas to provide age-appropriate learning. Due to our size we can offer excellent internal growth and professional development opportunities. In fact several BestStart Centre Managers first joined us as teachers!

With free onsite parking and great public transport links we are easily accessible, and have large, pleasant non-contact spaces. We offer healthcare and childcare benefits and are also happy to consider flexible working hours for the right candidate.
