Job Description

With a recent four year ERO return, First Steps Te Atatu is a centre to be proud of!
We are a tight knit team focused on supporting and developing each other. We are flexible, upbeat and incredibly proud of all we have achieved under the leadership of our fantastic Centre Manager.

We are now searching for driven, personable and bubbly teachers to join our team. We are licensed for up to 16 infants and provide an unhurried programme that is responsive to individual strengths and interests.

Why join First Steps Te Atatu?

We provide a personalised service to all our families and ensure we understand what every parent wants their child to achieve whilst in our care. We take our responsibilities as teachers and carers seriously and are passionate about delivering tailored learning to every child.

Our Centre Manager has a strong focus on growth and development of our team members and supports professional development and career advancement opportunities within BestStart. All our teachers are given the freedom to work autonomously allowing them to grow, develop and understand their strengths and build on these with support from our leadership and management teams.

We host an annual matariki show to celebrate the creativity, diversity and cultural inclusiveness of our centre and wider community and are lucky to have children and teachers from a variety of cultural backgrounds.

The holistic development of children is a core focus within First Steps Te Atatu and we are currently focusing on sustainability and how we can develop and maintain this further within the centre.

As part of the BestStart family we strive to attract, inspire, develop and retain fabulous teachers. We offer a competitive remuneration package along with medical insurance, discounted childcare benefits, generous non-contact time per week, extra sick days, training incentives and ongoing professional development.

If you are looking for a happy, settled centre with a great culture, contact Nicky Bryant on 021 922 667 now!
